Atletico Madrid have been given the green light to reach the last four of the ‘Stage of the Stars’.

Atletico Madrid won the home leg of their 2023-2024 UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg against Borussia Dortmund 2-1 at the Civitas Metropolitano in Madrid, Spain, at 4:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday.

Atletico lined up in a 3-5-2 formation with Griezmann, Morata, Rinu, De Paul, Koke, Llorente, Molina, Aspilicueta, Witsel, Jimenez, and Oblak in goal.

The ‘visitors’ Dortmund responded with a 4-2-3-1 formation. Pilkruk, Adeyemi, N’Mecha, Sancho, Zahn, Xavier, Matthsen, Schlatterbeck, Hummels, Leroy Sane, and Bell (GK) started.

The game ended with a one-goal lead for Atletico. The second leg will take place on Sunday.
