Japanese go powerhouse Ryo Ichiriki has reached the final of a major world championship for the first time in his career.

Ichiriki defeated China’s de facto No. 1 player, Kerze 9, in 200 moves in the semifinals of the 10th Ng Si-Bae World Professional Go Championship in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, China, on Monday.

Ichiriki’s second straight victory after one loss sent him to the Ng Sibae final, where he will play China’s Shaker 9 for the title in a best-of-five series.

Shaker advanced to the final with a 2-0 victory over Chinese Taipei’s top-ranked Hsiu Hao-hung 9th dan in the semifinals.

Ichiriki, who took white on the day, captured a black stone in the bottom-side battle to gain an early advantage.

Unable to overcome his disadvantage after the midway point, Kersey sought to change things up with a downside move, but Ichiriki was able to capture the left upper ear black stone with a fatigue move to seal the match.

It has been 28 years since a Japanese professional knight reached the final of the Ng Si-Bae since 9th dan Yoda Norimoto finished runner-up at the third edition in 1996.

Ichiriki, who is making his first appearance in a world final, will try to win his first title in the event, which has been dubbed the “Go Olympics“.

Shaker has reached the final in the last nine editions of the event, losing 0-2 to 9-dan Shin Shin-seo.

Shaker, who is looking to win his first title, leads Ichiriki in the head-to-head series with four wins.

Ichiriki and Shaker’s Final Five matchups in the 1-2 zone will take place on Aug. 12 and 14 in Chongqing, China.

Nos. 3-5 will be held on Oct. 24, 26, and 28 in Fuzhou.

Established in 1988, Ng Sibae is played with the Ng Sibae Rule, also known as the “full method” (塡滿法), with a bonus of eight points (seven and a half).

The prize money for the championship is $400,000 (about $550 million), the largest in a single tournament, and $100,000 for the runner-up.

In the nine previous editions of the tournament, South Korea has won the title six times and China three times. 카지노 커뮤니티
