Tottenham are reportedly thinking about selling the 27-year-old.
According to the UK’s The Boot, transfer market pundit Dean Jones reported on Friday that “Tottenham could sell him before signing a new striker”.
He further added: “Spurs think this summer is the right time to sell him. “If a good offer comes in, we will be happy to accept it,” he said, adding, “It is very likely that he will go to Saudi Arabia (where he is being courted).
He still has three years left on his Spurs contract.
He was a big-money signing for Spurs in the summer of 2022. They paid £60 million ($102.3 billion) for him from Everton, and for good reason. He was a standout striker in the English Premier League (EPL), scoring 53 goals in 152 appearances for Everton.
But after joining Tottenham, he fell into a slump. He hasn’t been able to live up to expectations.
In 35 appearances across all competitions last season, he managed just three goals and four assists. Only one of those goals came in the EPL.
However, his form has improved since last year. 스포츠토토 Since December 2023, he’s been scoring goals. In 28 EPL games this season, he has 11 goals and four assists. However, he still has a long way to go before he’s worth 100 billion won.
Therefore, there”s no reason why Tottenham wouldn”t sell him if a good offer comes in.
“Saudi league leaders Al-Hilal have made plans to sign Tottenham striker Xherdan Shaqiri this summer,” reported the UK’s Daily Mail on June 12, adding, “After Neymar (Al-Hilal) was ruled out for the season with a knee injury, Al-Hilal approached Tottenham in January about signing Shaqiri.”
On August 8, The Boot also reported that Hicharisson was attracting interest from a Saudi team, but it wasn’t Al-Hilal that was mentioned: newly-promoted Al-Qadisiya, backed by oil giant Aramco, were keen to sign him.
The well-funded club won the Saudi Arabian First Division (second division) this season with 17 wins, seven draws and five losses, and 64 points, earning promotion to the top flight.
At the time, The Boot said: “Hicharisson is also interested in a move to the Middle East. Tottenham are also understood to be open to a move this summer.” While speculation has continued to swirl around the player, there is a consistent expectation that he will head to Saudi Arabia.
