Two straight losses after seven straight wins.

The KEPCO men’s professional volleyball team lost a home match against Woori Card in the Dodram 2023~2024 V-League Men’s Division with a set score of 1-3 (25-27 21-25 25-22 22-25) at Suwon Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do, Gyeonggi-do on Saturday.

KEPCO, which had previously lost to 현금홀덤사이트 Korean Air on the 13th with a set score of 1-3, ended its seven-game winning streak with this result.

KEPCO head coach Kwon Young-min expressed his desire for a win before the match. KEPCO has lost both meetings with Woori Card this season.

“I never said I wanted to beat a specific team, but I said I wanted to beat them (Woori Card) at the team meeting,” Kwon said.

But the game didn’t go as Kwon had hoped. While there was no significant difference in offensive metrics such as goals scored and attacking success rate, the lack of error management was painful. KEPCO committed 25 errors, six more than Woori Card.

“The overall performance wasn’t bad, but there were more errors than I thought,” Kwon said after the game, analyzing that there were both serve and attack errors as well as invisible second-stage connection mistakes.

Kwon was not impatient to see his team’s winning streak come to a halt. KEPCO is currently in fourth place in the league with 24 points (8W8L). They are not far behind second-place Samsung Fire (28-11 W-L) and third-place Korean Air (28-9 W-L).

“We give the players targets for each round,” he said. “Our target for round three is 4-2. The round isn’t over yet, so as long as we accumulate the target number of wins, it won’t be a problem.”
