An Se-young’s Determination Statement “It was Worth it”… National Teams’ ‘Explosion of Complaints’
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the results of the inspection and support project performance of the Korea Badminton Association on the 31st and anonymously disclosed the opinions of national badminton team players.
Of the 51 national team players, 36 responded to the survey.
The players said that the national team coaching staff and the medical infrastructure of the national team village are insufficient compared to the demand.
Complaints erupted such as, “Since there is one coach for each part, the good players get coached primarily while the youngest ones work out by themselves”,
and “(Non-national team players) are blocked from participating in international competitions,
so their skills are stagnant.” 바카라사이트
“Ahead of important competitions, coaching is focused on first-tier players, which alienates younger players.
On the other hand, other countries have separate first-tier and second-tier coaches,
“There are video analysis personnel, but they only edit and send the videos, so they are more like ‘video editors’.”
They are not professional.”
The medical infrastructure in the athlete’s village was also a problem.
There was also an opinion that, “Athletes from public teams often want to receive treatment and management at the athlete’s village,
but because there are so many people at the same time,
it is not an environment where they can receive sufficient management.”
A second-tier athlete said, “As the association trainers mainly support Olympic athletes,
I often went to the medical center in the athletes’ village,
but there were many athletes from other sports,
so there were many cases where diagnosis and treatment were delayed.”
There were also criticisms that the national team’s training intensity and internal discipline were excessive.
There were many negative opinions about dawn training, such as, “There are many injuries at that time,” and “On days when dawn training is not done, the concentration of morning and afternoon training increases.”
Regarding mountain training, there was a comment that, “There is a high risk of injury, such as slipping.”
