NC Dinos ace Eric Peddie, 30, set a new KBO record for most strikeouts in a single game .Pedi took the mound against the visiting Doosan Bears at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul, South Korea, on Sept. 19 and dominated the opposition with six innings of one-hit ball, 106 pitches, one walk and 12 strikeouts. Pedi surpassed his previous single-game record of 11 strikeouts, which he set twice this season, by one .Pedi now leads the league in strikeouts with 181, surpassing Ahn Woo-jin (Kiwoom Heroes – 164), who is out for the season after being diagnosed with elbow surgery. In the top of the third inning, Pedi gave up a single to Park Kye-beom and a walk to Kim Jae-ho to put runners on first and second. He struck out Yang Seok-hwan and then retired six straight batters until Park Kye-beom, the second batter of the fifth inning .In the sixth, Pedi retired Jung Soo-bin and Kim Jae-ho before getting Yang Seok-hwan to fly out to shortstop to end the inning .His 12 strikeouts in a game tied the KBO record, which has been accomplished twice this season by Ahn Woo-jin.
